Back to State Parks

Many well-loved parks outside of Philadelphia draw people as much for their convenience to the big city as for their snow-blanketed woodlands. Tyler State Park and Ridley Creek State Park offer a full array of winter activities. Evansburg is popular for its hiking and skiing trails and is home to Friedt Visitor Center, which teaches about the lives of German Mennonites living in the 18th and 19th centuries. Reserve your getaway at Nockamixon at one of its ten modern family cabins. The state parks near Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley are great destinations for escaping the city life.
